KTRB 860 AM is one of the oldest radio stations on the West Coast. On February 1, 2007, the station returned to the air licensed to San Francisco and serving the entire San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose radio market. KTRB is reinventing talk radio in the San Francisco Bay Area with a line-up of hosts who bring a fresh, independent, perspective to current affairs, and to our daily lives that is aimed at the adult who is politically informed, but doesn't want to hear about politics all day long. From the satire and comedy of Mancow and John London to the independent voices of Glenn Beck and Neal Boortz, our programming entertains, informs, and engages Bay Area listeners.

*All internships are unpaid and for college credit only

*Must be currently enrolled at a college or university working toward a department of interest (Radio/Journalism, Communication, Political Science, Sales, Public Relations, etc.)

*Must receive college credit for internship and provide proof of class registration

*Must be available to work 10-20 hours per week

*Must not be an employee or intern at any other station while doing an internship at KTRB 860 AM

*Must be at least 18 years old

*Must have the ability to commute at specified times to the station

*Dress appropriate to a professional work environment

We’re looking for self-motivated & task oriented people who want to learn about all aspects of a radio station. Students will receive a hands-on feel and how each department is involved in all aspects of the radio station. Student must be able to work independently. Primary duties and responsibility will be to assist the Promotion Department with organization and execution of station events.
